Country Music Returns to SENSES

April 11, 2013 at 4:54 pm

Next Thursday, SENSES welcomes Keesha Scott-Hogan, a sassy, singer songwriter originally hailed from Linton, but now calls the glitzy city of Los Angeles her home. Her songs are heartfelt and within her country bones, she added the bluegrass styles of Alison Krauss and the bluesy vibe of Carter’s Chord to her music library. Her live performances included opening slots for such country greats as Hal Ketchum, Big Kenny (Big & Rich), Kinky Friedman and The Grascals. She continues to play live concerts all over Los Angeles and Nashville with her band.

Also welcoming back, Dawson’s Gang, Southern California’s premier country rock cover band, will perform on Main Street at SENSES Saddle Up in Old Town Newhall.  Mixing today’s popular top modern Country with a few old favorites, Dawson’s Gang is guaranteed to rock the house with their Southern Rock meets modern Country music style.

Vaud and the Villains at SENSES on Main Street, Thursday, March 21

SENSES is getting ready for Vaud and the Villains, a 19 piece 1930s New Orleans orchestra and cabaret show.  With echoes of Bruce Springsteen’s Seeger Session Band, they are Americana Noir meets Moulin Rouge.  A genre-bending spectacle…at once seedy and inspiring…gritty and sublime.  Bring your wretched souls, your sins and your dancing feet…the Villains will save you and you will never be the same.
