This Thursday, May 2, swing by Art SLAM, on the corner of Lyons and Main Street, to catch The Rayford Brothers at 7:30 and 9:00 p.m. performing live.
The Rayford Brothers are well versed in the language of Rockabilly—swingin’ beats and face-melting leads. But coming through the swing with audible clarity is a twangy country influence. They play sweet bendy, rambling goodness—like Brian Setzer teaming up with Gram Parsons.
Next Thursday, Art SLAM will feature RED art installations and exhibits, on the corner of Lyons and Main Street in Old Town Newhall, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Artists experience a variety of phases within their work; at times, a certain color will capture their attention until that chosen color has run its course. Here are three artists you won’t want to miss on THE PAD.
Artist, Janet Antepara will present her “red phase” on The Pad.
Artist, Nancy Eckels will exhibit the joy and energy she feels when creating works of uninhibited color, movement, and emotion.
Artists, John Bacoy, his exhibit is inspired by human emotion, life experience, and nature.
