The Farmers Markets in Old Town Newhall began in the spring of 2003. The Farmers Markets are certified markets that feature a mix of produce vendors, prepared food vendors, community booths, crafters booths, and entertainment.
The Farmers Market in Old Town Newhall is held every Thursday night, from March to October, on Main Street, from 4p.m. to 8p.m. The Farmers’ Market brings the community together to shop for fresh produce, browse local shops, listen to live music, and interact with local entertainers. The Farmer’s Market in Old Town Newhall offers a variety of healthy organic produce including fruits, vegetables, and crops, as well as packaged foods, cooked foods, handmade craft items, family-friendly activities, and entertainment for the Santa Clarita community.
The 2013 Farmers’ Market season brings back the operator, Coastal Pacific one of the largest Farmers’ Market organizers in Southern California. Coastal Pacific produces many Certified Farmers’ Markets in Los Angeles, Riverside, and Ventura counties, including the Northridge Market, which is one of the largest in the country. The State of California Agricultural Commissioner certifies that the farmers at the markets run by Coastal Pacific sell food produced directly by the farmers themselves.
