The event will feature an array of artwork, including an interactive “My Reason Wall” tattoo photography exhibit inviting attendees to take photos of their tattoos and explain the inspiration behind them. Guests can also browse artist Tom Neas’ art collection of punk rock legends, live model paintings with local artists Melanie Florio and Suzi Kades, and dynamic layered art stenciling with Pablo Cevallos. DJ’s from underground radio station K.S.S.R will spin ‘80s punk anthems, and ‘80s punk bands Channel 3 and Shattered Faith will perform mosh-worthy tunes for attendees.

Art SLAM is similar to an art jam. The public can see the work of artists’ as they respond to a theme; develop interactive opportunities, large installations of art work, and gallery exhibits in the local businesses. On the first Thursdays of the month, all the happenings will start on the corner of Market Street and Main Street and transform the block into an open-air art gallery from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
