Rockabilly on Stage at SENSES

August 8, 2012 at 4:09 pm

Come out to see three amazing rockabilly bands, Thursday, August 16, at SENSES, located on Main Street, from 7pm to 11pm.

On stage at 7pm, is Hard Six, a popular rock and roll band from Ventura, California featuring the world class vocal talent of Michael Henry on guitar, Jeffrey ‘Six’ Barber on drums and backing vocals with Alex Vogel on Bass.

Next up on stage are the Dusk Devils who play drivingly up-tempo rockabilly, boogie-woogie, swing, jump-blues, honky-tonking, twanging and banging “American music.”  Described by LA Weekly as, “female-front rockabilly rave-ups,” but their favorite description came from a fan who said they sound “like the Collins Kids if they were allowed to stay out all night.”

Stay all evening, because you will not want to miss the Blue Collar Combo a high energy rockabilly band that brings unique style to the stage. Travis Mullins is one of those truehearted musicians that let the music take him over on stage, which you can honestly see in each performance. Brandon Dixon loves every opportunity he has to play, completely emerging himself into the music. Zack Simpson enjoys the history, meaning rockabilly brings to his life, and to the songs he writes. Last, but not least, Ronnie, a trueborn drummer with a natural ear for percussion. A working band for the working man!
